Recall the viral story of a beggar who made headlines earlier this year after he was wrongly accused of stealing a good Samaritan’s penis and beaten to stupor.
The ugly incident which occurred at Ikeja under bridge led to a debate about ‘Jungle justice’ in Nigeria.
The beggar identified as Emmanuel Oyediran, has undergone a successful surgery for “colostomy prolapse”, which left his intestine outside.
Nigerian Naval Officer, Kola Onifoto who debunked rumours of him being a ritualist and further launched a GoFundMe account to raise money for his surgery and upkeep.
The Naval Officer shared photos of him recuperating and wrote;
“Emmanuel Oyediran is ready for surgery
His first surgery “colostomy prolapse” will be removed tomorrow.
May God grant him a safe surgery.”
