The “Billionaire” crooner had gone to the jewelry store to buy a gold-crested timepiece but was taken aback when she was informed of the price.

She reportedly questioned the salesperson, wondering if he meant $2,900 instead of $29,500 [N13 million].

However, he confirmed that the price was correct, and Teni immediately told him to take the watch back, as she was no longer interested in buying it.

Teni’s decision to decline the wristwatch has elicited mixed reactions from fans and followers.

While some praised her for being wise with her money and investing in real estate, others felt that she could afford the watch and should have purchased it.

It is not the first time that Teni has spoken about the importance of wise investments. In a tweet posted in 2020, she urged her followers to invest their money in real estate, saying that land would always appreciate in value.
