‘I don’t even know the difference between SARS and thieves’ – Reekado Banks reveals how he was harassed by SARS officials in Lagos

Just a couple of months ago, Mavins artist, Dr. Sid was harassed by the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS) and even physically assaulted by them, now his label mate, Reekado Bankz has also fallen victim.

According to singer, these operatives spotted his car, rushed to overtake them carrying arms and wearing mofty. They then asked that he and the rest of his crew come down from the car they were in while pointing a gun at them.

It was only when they saw and recognised that he was “Reekado Banks” that their blood came down.

The singer took to his Twitter to share his experience writing:

I don’t even know the difference btw SARZ and ARMED ROBBERS! The ones I met today over took in a regular car, No uniforms, immediately pointed their guns and asked that we came down from the car, then calmed down when they noticed me. Biko what if I wasn’t me ??? 😩😩

This continuous harassment by the SARS operatives have been going on for a while now, both among regular citizens and celebrities alike.
