Let 2023 be the last time of Igbo interference in Lagos state politics – APC chieftain Bayo Onanuga warns
The Director of Media and Publicity for the APC Presidential Campaign Council, Mr. Bayo Onanuga has said that Lagos was not a no man’s land, as he cautioned electorates from the non-indigenes from interfering in the politics of the state.
It will be recalled that the issue of Lagos State being a “no man’s land” had sparked a plethora of controversies prior to the gubernatorial and state house of assembly elections in the state.
The APC spokesman who took to his social media handle in the late hours of Saturday reiterated that Lagos State was like Anambra, Imo, and any other Nigerian state, hence the incidence of interference that happened in the 2023 elections should not repeat itself in the 2027 elections.
His exact words in the tweet read:
“Let 2023 be the last time of Igbo interference in Lagos politics.” Let there be no repeat in 2027. Lagos is like Anambra, Imo, or any other Nigerian state. It is not No Man’s Land; it is not the Federal Capital Territory. It is Yoruba land. “Mind your business.”
