Mohbad had been struggling to release hit song since he left Naira Marley – Marlian Champion

A member of Nigerian musician Naira Marley’s crew, known as Marlian Champion, has taken to Twitter to express his opinion on the career trajectory of Mohbad, a Nigerian singer who was formerly signed to Marlian Music.

According to Marlian Champion, Mohbad’s music career has been on a steady decline since he left his former record label.

The crew member went on to point out that Mohbad released a few singles after going independent, but none of them turned out to be a hit like his singles while he was signed to Marlian Music.

Champion suggested that Mohbad should beg Naira Marley to take him back, as the rate at which his career is not progressing is very depressing.

This statement sparked a debate amongst fans on the microblogging platform, with some agreeing with Champion’s statement and others defending Mohbad’s independent music career

“Mohbad has released few songs now since he left Marlian record label and none of these banged like his songs used to.

He might have to beg naira marley to take him back to keep his fame running because this decline Is really depressing,” he wrote.
