Mompha again reacts to alleged arrest of Hushpuppi in Dubai by Interpol
Popular internet celebrity, Ismaila Mustapha, AKA Mompha who was arrested by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, for N32.9 billion has reacted to the alleged arrest of popular Instagram sensation, Ray Hushpuppi.
Interpol at the United Arab Emirates reportedly arrested Hushpuppi on Wednesday.
He was said to have been nabbed after allegedly diverting COVID-19 funds up to the tune of $35 million.
His arrest has since generated diverse reactions from Nigerians.
Some Nigerians had while celebrating the arrest urged Interpol to arrest people with questionable wealth.
Mompha has advised fans and family of embattled millionaire, Huspuppi to desist from reading and believing stories circulating on social media.
According to him, none of these stories flying in the media is true. He cited an example with himself saying, when he was arrested by the EFCC, different stories were circulating about him but at the end, his charge was that he was selling foreign currency without license.
He noted that even the EFCC didn’t have any evidence to back their claim and till now, they can’t prove with the charges they made against him.
