Odion Ighalo unveils Man United boots in memory of late sister Mary Atole

Odion Jude Ighalo has unveiled his Manchester United boots less than a week after making a sensational return to Premier League, and interestingly the beautiful pair was dedicated to his late sister Mary Atole.

The 30-year-old AFCON Golden boot winner completed a dream sensational EPL return after agreeing to terms with the Old Trafford outfits, albeit without no option of purchase at the end of the season.

From his hood in Ajegule to Manchester, Ighalo becomes the first Nigerian to don and play for the Old Trafford outfits after a six-month deal from Shanghai Shenhua.

Although Ighalo, 30, has two years left on his contract with the Chinese side, the deal means Ighalo would stay with the EPL side till the end of the season, filling the void of injured Marcus Rahsford.

United were reported to have paid a loan fee between £2 million and £4 million for Shanghai Shenhua.

Ahead of the official unveiling at the Theatre of Dreams, Ighalo revealed his pair of boots in memory of his deceased sister Mary Atole who died on December 12 2019.

The boots are a pair of pink with a logo of Nike, adorned with Nigeria’s flag colour stencilled after boldly written Mary Atole. Ighalo’s first spell in Premier League was with Watford between 2014 and 2017. He netted 39 goals in 99 appearances for the Hornets.
