Reno Omokri reacts to Twitter’s decision to open an office in Ghana & not Nigeria

Media users have since dragged the Buhari administration after the announcement by Twitter’s CEO, Jack Dorsey that Twitter’s African Headquarters will be established in Ghana.

There have been mixed reactions on social media after the announcement was made. Many are of the opinion that Nigeria was not selected as Afica’s headquarters of the Twitter hub because of the ban of cryptocurrency and other social vices happening in Nigeria.

The former aide to Goodluck Jonathan and social critic Reno Omokri has taken to his Twitter page to drag the Buhari administration for the retrogression in development. According to Reno Omokri, if President Buhari and his administration do not turn a new leaf, most Nigerian businesses and brands will leave Nigeria to Ghana.

He also emphasized how some Nigerian artists like Wizkid and Burna Boy have relocated to Ghana because of the comfortability. Wizkid and Burna Boy have been in Ghana for a couple of months, while Davido also paid Ghana a visit and later left for Nigeria.

His post reads:

After what @GokadaNG went through in Nigeria, coupled with the ill advised law suit a @MBuhari acolyte filed against them, there is very little chance that a company like @Twitter, or any other non exploitative Western firm will invest in Nigeria until this regime (of virus) goes

Under @MBuhari, our ease of doing business is so bad that it’s easier for terrorists to get phone lines than law abiding residents. You can land in Ghana’s Kotoka Airport and get a SIM card at the airport. But a camel has to pass through the eye of a needle to get one in Nigeria

The truth is that if the @MBuhari regime does not turn a new leaf (almost an impossibility), even Nigerian businesses and brands will be leaving Nigeria for Ghana. Both Dunlop and Michelin left Nigeria for Ghana. Even our Grammy winners @WizkidAyo and @BurnaBoy prefer Ghana
