It’s the weekend people and one the most amazing thing about this time of the week is relaxation and everything fun.
I’ve painstakingly selected the top movies for this weekend because I want to give you only the best.
From action to comedy to thriller to drama and more action, either watching at the cinemas, downloading or ‘Netflix-ing’ and chilling, I’ve got you covered for this weekend.

1) Dead Pool 2
This is one of the most anticipated movies of 2018 and its finally here! Even if you’ve not seen Deadpool 1, what’s to stop you from seeing 2. As usual, the wisecracking mercenary, Deadpool joins forces with three mutants to protect a boy from the all-powerful Cable.
This tells the true life story of an athlete, Jeff Bauman who loses both of his legs when two bombs explode during the Boston Marathon on April 15, 2013. After regaining consciousness in the hospital, Jeff is able to help law enforcement identify one of the suspects, but his own battle is just beginning. With unwavering support from his family and girlfriend, he embarks on a long and heroic journey to physical and emotional rehabilitation.
A couple’s relationship is tested when uninvited guests arrive at their home, disrupting their peaceful existence. This riveting psychological thriller about love, devotion and sacrifice is not for the faint of heart. If you’re not big on thrillers, Mother will throw you off balance.
4) Pacific Rim Uprising
Jake Pentecost is a once-promising Jaeger pilot whose legendary father gave his life to secure humanity’s victory against the monstrous Kaiju. Jake has since abandoned his training only to become caught up in a criminal underworld. But he is given one last by his sister when an even more unstoppable threat is unleashed to tear through cities and bring the world to its knees.
5) The Ghost and the Tout
She’s a Tout and he’s a Ghost! This Nollywood drama/comedy follows the story of a young lady who grew up in a Ghetto and met with a ghost after an unfortunate incident that happened to her. Soon her life is thrown into series of dramas that only her can see and understand.
6) Death Wish
Bruce Willis as Dr. Paul Kersey is a surgeon who often sees the consequences of the city’s violence in the emergency room but when home intruders brutally attack his wife and daughter, Kersey becomes obsessed with delivering vigilante justice to the perpetrators. And he avenges their attack, one gruesome death after another and the public begins to wonder if the deadly avenger is a guardian angel — or the Grim Reaper itself.
7) I Feel Pretty
A woman who struggles with feelings of insecurity and inadequacy on a daily basis wakes from a fall believing she is suddenly the most beautiful and capable woman on the planet. With this newfound confidence, she is empowered to live her life fearlessly and flawlessly, but what will happen when she realizes her appearance never changed?
8) Hurricane Heist
From the makers of Fast and Furious, Hurricane Heist is an action packed movie where a team of 30 well-armed mercenaries intent on looting the local treasury facility in a rural town which has a massive hurricane bearing down on the Gulf coastline.
9) Talking Dolls
This Nollywood drama has a breath-taking build up that sees two colorful but opposite characters, become love birds, losing far beyond their expectations.
10) Breaking In
A woman takes her son and daughter on a weekend getaway to her late father’s secluded, high-tech vacation home in the countryside. The family soon gets an unwelcome surprise when four men break into the house to find hidden money. After managing to escape, Shaun must now figure out a way to teach the desperate thieves not to mess with a mother and save her captive children.
