‘Tithing is a spiritual insurance’ – Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo explains the importance of paying tithes

To pay or not to pay…

For a while now, the issue of tithes have been a trending topic in Nigeria with different people giving their own understanding of the Biblical order especially with popular OAP, Daddy Freeze’s ‘Freethesheple’ movement.

Different pastors have also had a clash with the controversial OAP over the same topic and Pastor Matthew Ashimolowo is one of them.

However, the UK-based Nigerian pastor, has taken to his twitter handle to explain the significance of tithes and paying it to the church.

This is coming after he was exposed for using church members money to celebrate his birthday.

According to him, Tithing is an insurance against satanic encroachment.
