Young man celebrates after passing UTME on fifth attempt with 270 score
A young Nigerian man has become the centre of attention after passing the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) with flying colours.
The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) released the exam results on May 2, and the lucky student scored 270.
According to reports, the young man had attempted the tertiary entrance exam four times previously, but this time he managed to pass the general cut-off mark of 140 during his fifth attempt.
He was elated at his achievement and decided to share the news with his community.
As the news of his achievement spread, residents of his area trooped out to the streets to celebrate with him.
A video circulating on social media captured the moments of celebration, with people congratulating him and offering handshakes and pats on the back.
In the video, the young man looked visibly excited as he paced back and forth. He was overwhelmed by the love and support he received from his community.
According to the person who filmed the scene; “He scored 270 on this JAMB exam after repeating for the 5th time. I’m very happy for him, you see in life never give up.”
